Spook Run Endurance 2009 : We ended up leaving after the first day because of the weather. I was only able to get a few pictures between rain showers. We were camping and after 2 inches of rain the first night and the horse blanket soaked, Patty was concerned about having the horse out in the rain again with weather forecast to be much colder. I am sure that the Saturday ride was much better and I apologize for missing it. The fall colors were beautiful indeed.

Spook Run Endurance 2009

Cracked Oats Crunch Endurance & Ctr : Cracked Oats Crunch, AHA Region 14 event and Appaloosa National endurance ride. This ride was in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park on the weekend of September 19-20. The weather was absolutely wonderful. It was pretty chilly in the morning, but as the sun came up it warmed right up. Even as the temperatures reached higher throughout the day, you could stay cool in the shade. My wife, Patty DeMott, said that the trails were wide and the park was doing a very good job of multi-purpose useage including runners, bike riders, and hikers. During the weekend that we were there, there was a farmers market across from where we were camping. They set up and directed parking so that there would not be cars driving around the horses. I took some portraits during the event, which is something that I will continue to offer at these events.
